We provide the free services covered by IFHP to Refugee Claimants.
The Canadian Federal Government’s Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP) provides emergency dental care for certain newcomers to Canada. These include: Resettled refugees, protected persons in Canada, refugee claimants, victims of human trafficking, and Detainees
It’s important to note that to access the Free IFHP Emergency Dental Service, individuals must meet specific eligibility criteria established by the program.

For qualifying people, IFHP will cover emergency dental exams; X-rays; caries, trauma, and pain control; emergency prescriptions; simple tooth extractions; denture relines; and denture repairs. With preauthorization, IFHP will cover amalgam or composite restoration for severely affected teeth; complicated dental extractions; and complete and partial dentures.
